I was seven years old when I first heard That’s All Right spinning through my older brother’s record player. I did not understand anything about rhythm, blues, or the history music was about to change. I only remember freezing in the middle of the room because the voice coming through those speakers sounded unlike anything I had ever heard before. It felt alive. Wild but warm at the same time.
